🔺CRIME CRISIS VICTIM: 18-year-old Miles Thompson was a football star and had been offered a full college scholarship.
On July 7, Miles left his family’s Northbrook home to visit his dad and little brother in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
The next morning, July 8, 10-year-old Jonah spotted Miles, his big brother, in the driveway and thought he was sleeping, but then saw blood.
Miles was shot and killed one day before his 19th birthday.
“He was my little hero,” Miles’ stepfather, Michael Cooper, said.
